for starters.. why not call this assignment? OS assignments have always been one of the challenging ones. Prof Shrisha Rao makes sure that you learn something out of it.
It’s been two assignments so far in this semester. Each assignment has literally consumed Friday, Saturday and Sunday completely to finish them. That too we do a group submission. i.e. a group of 2.
This time, we got 66 out of100. Some of them have got 80+. what got us wrong this time was simply surprising. We grossly ignored the process while submitting the assignment err homework. We submitted the hard copy. Uploaded files on lms. But instead of uploading .c files we uploaded both output and .c files in a .doc file. Why did we do this way? First assignment, they wanted to see both output and code in one .doc file. This time, they didn’t:)))
Poor TAs have compiled some 75 group submission’s codes this time. They found our code in .doc files and declared this as clear display of “process violation” and went on to cut marks!
Now, just 3 weeks to go for finals. We are expecting one more assignment in OS. I don’t know how I will be able to submit this assignment. My second half of second semester has been fully boring. Theory haven’t understood a bit. Projects are in 80% and 10% completion types. Let’s see, how I will go forward today..
