After a ten days of hiatus, i will be again subjecting myself to grind of mtech. I have some memories to cherish. For those of you, for whom I have not told, we had a sports fest in our own back yard. i.e. IIIT-B. Our alumni usually come back to college with their teams to participate in Cricket, VolleyBall, Carrom, Table Tennis, Chess, etc.,
The best thing here is, alumni love to come back to college to participate in this event.
This time PGDSD(Post Graduation Diploma in Software Development) family joined Spandan festivities too. It is worth to mention that they walked away with Cricket trophy. They won in badminton too. Table tennis was dominated by Mtech2009. Carrom and Chess added feather to Mtech2009. While only few prizes were won by 2008 batch. Sports Quiz was also won by 2009 batch.
What did I win? Well nothing truly. The high point of my participation was reaching semi-finals in badminton doubles and quarter finals in Cricket. More than winning I enjoyed literally everything about Spandan 2010.
I spent most of my time in Spandan in resolving Cricket issues on the field. Most of the times I had the entire crowd of 50 to 60 people on the cricket field demanding me( umpire, match referee) to change some rule, or change the ball, to give a no ball, to take back some out, to remove tree catches, etc.,
Our alumni who had come down were awesome folks. REally learnt a lot from them. Keep it simply simple in life. I liked Strikers team a lot. All of them were friendly, played three matches on the final day back to back. They cheered their team, participated in cross hooting in a very non-personal way. It was a delight to be with them.
Volley Ball was played under lights. Amazing display of volleyball skills by our alumni and our class guys especially.
Treasure hunt saw some 165 people running around the campus for clues and taking a pic of everything which they thought were the clues.
Badminton was the event which ran 24X7, if not exactly, but the court witnessed literally around 60 hours of matches!!
Table Tennis too witnessed some 60 hours of awesomeness. Throw Ball was ultimate with gals showing great sense of throwing!
In any event, there will be some unpleasant experiences, i don’t want to look back and see these. but i will surely remember everything which was awesome.
Enough of my description.
Go through this blog which was done by our awesome organizing committee.

Now, that spandan has ended. I have one month more to go for second semester. I am not really sure how I am planning to get this semester to a logical end.
I am praying God that i will do well this time. I am confident on projects but not on theory. I am better off doing practical stuff than writing. How a packet is transferred is not a big deal to me.. using wireshark and seeing it work gives me more kicks!!!
Tom’s first class will be Prof. Shrisha Rao’s! can’t wait to attend.
I am still tired, body aches, etc, I can’t stop thinking about those 3 days that made me strong at heart. I don’t give a rat’s ass to what some people thought about this event. If you thought you could get away with only negative comments, I have only one thing to say.. Thanks for your keen observation!!!
If there is just a black dot on a white board, some see only black dot and others see only white. Some of our so-called-something… see only black!!! Can’t help it.. !!
Life goes on.. with this.. goods and bads… we need to learn to move on!!!
back to grind vasanth.. u can do it..
