Vacation! why?

I sit on the couch waiting for the sun to rise. It’s 430am. There is silence.i don’t hear birds chirping. A distant flight flying few thousands of feet above is heard but only for few seconds. Again silence.

Life is generally the other way around. Try to sleep at 4.00 am with lot of cars whizzing past to wherever Important they have to be there! Buses slowly getting filled with more and more ‘early to bed early to rise’ people.

No sound of distant alarms getting snoozed. even cows and horses haven’t woken up at this time. No car sounds. No one waking up to reach any place that early. No train sounds. No cycle sounds. No one jogging at this hour to keep themselves fit. No factory starts at this time.

When the world is this still and you are wide awake, fresh and completely raring to take the world on by its horns – you feel this stillness – the void you see in movies about how silent space is. It’s like the world telling you.. “hang on a minute! What are you doing!!”

A person who generally never misses an opportunity to call his family/friends or sends that WhatsApp message to that old friends group who are in different time zones – now finds – “hang on a minute! What am I rushing for?”

Your laptop is just next to you. You want to crack it open and finish that pending item hanging down your neck like a dagger waiting to destroy your world. “Hang on a minute! Am I really enjoying what I am doing?”

You decide to see updates on your favourite app or social media – Facebook, twitter, Snapchat, LinkedIn etc., You see things like.. “oh Tuesday! Bring it on.. few more hours “.. also you automatically relate to it to so many over abused topics on sitcoms like big bang theory, friends, two and half men etc., You suddenly get this revolting thought “what am I doing? Hang on a minute!!”

Now,the sun is lazily rising. You suddenly hear in your mind all the successful gurus in business, philosophy, entrepreneurs telling you how to “view the world”.. you shut yourself from those recorded thoughts which are your muscle memory after all these years.. “Not now man! ”

What happens after this is something you need to experience personally.. the outputs isn’t a finite set of experiences.. it’s infinity! You got to be there to listen to it and see it happen and unravel.

What is this mystical thing? It’s called “vacation” which we deny ourselves seasons after seasons convincing ourselves to be more patient! We are perennial “vacation slackers”!

Vacation is a controversial word in a controversial world because it is only for those people who have achieved what they should have in the eyes of the world.. it’s never going to happen and one gets into the trap of entering the club of “I like my work and routine is my vacation”.. one gets hypnotised into believing that 18 hour day hustling is life from Monday to Friday.. Saturday and Sunday you have day off.. etc etc..

Vacation need not be fancy and frenzy of pub hopping/check ins on foursquare and selfie sagas or building a nice video and showing it your colleagues or taking vacation for “showing off”.. it truly is a “private” activity.. you and your loved ones deserve a vacation to renew everything in life..

With this I end my blog – I hear birds chirping- sky is visible and sun has announced his presence and I know what I should be doing!Cheers to “Vacation” !

 

Je suis Developer?

One thing you learn over the years in IT industry – there is no caste system in the industry. It’s like in Cricket – some want to become batsmen because they saw Sachin Tendulkar do it with ease and people loved him. People want to be wicket keeper batsman because MS Dhoni did it. Similarly, in IT industry there are heroes in different roles.

Some people when start their career – start by saying – I won’t do anything to do with a job role X because I want to do my post graduation in so and so etc., Basically almost all is prejudiced when they start their careers – I for one was prejudiced/partial as well towards development. I wanted to be a developer. I don’t know what I had heard or seen before entering the industry about development. I wanted to become a developer. Many started wanting to start a company. Many wanted to become X/Y or whatever.

I don’t think it is wrong. And some people are confused. They don’t know what to do. They would need some more time to decide. Its just the way it is.

Now, after 10 years if you look back and see what you wanted to be and what you are now? How would you feel? Would you think you should have done something better? Of course, there is always a thought like that.

What I have learnt in the last 3 to 4 years is something which I feel I should have done from beginning.

1. I have learnt one can only be a good developer if he/she can test like a professional test professional. Hence, a developer should learn to write unit tests first. Automate his/her own code. It has to become a habit.
2. One should learn javascript – even though you are not doing UI work & u might be a DBA or BI analyst or a Hadoop engineer – there is so much knowledge hidden in the js world and the number of problems solved using javascript libraries are quite deep – too good to be ignored.
3. Everyone (developer)  should learn to bring their own website up. The whole experience of doing your own website gives you enough knowledge that you can be proud of.
4. Everyone (developer) should know how to design or use photoshop/pixlr to design assets. If you lack creativity initially – you might want to start mimicking most popular apps/websites
5. Every developer should learn and appreciate animations – one cannot ignore this skill.
6. soft skills are a must.
7. lastly, most important, START COMMITTING/SHARING your knowledge using github/bitbucket. Learn GIT commands if you ain’t aware of it.

Some of the things you can do to inspire yourself:

1. Attend developer meets/conference over weekend – enrol yourself – socialise
2. Follow google developers & channels on youtube
3. Do photography and try to edit them using photoshop – good place to start learning about color contrasts
4. Have a hobby app – on github – however embarrassingly bad it is to start with – start and fork others code and contribute to it.
5. Start upvoting and try to answer questions on stackoverflow.
6. read Quora posts on entrepreneurship/development related questions
7. Try to set up work environments for different programming platforms and even if you do helloworld it should be a great experience. One month one programming paradigm would be an achievable goal.

I am not patronising development here. Just sharing, what I would have wanted to listen back when I started trying to become a developer.

Whatsapp – a new social order

In the last 10 years – people have witnessed different waves of social media!

Orkut brought OLD friends with absolutely out of touch contacts together – this included people whom we had not met for more than a decade or more than that. It was a pleasant surprise to see your friends in grown up stage and to check their pictures brought so much excitement. It was a social movement. It was a period where internet was not so available on mobile phones. Desktops and wired LANs were still the dominant species. Orkut was succeeding emails and yahoo group conversations.

Then came facebook – which brought selective people into your network. By the time they reached facebook, people knew what to expect from social media. Evolution was now very fast. Not everybody was allowed into their networks. People demanded more privacy. Data became personal. But, the big bang of social media continued to expand at an exponential growth everyday into new horizons. Liking and getting liked was a new social way of being connected.

Then riding on this wave, came twitter – micro blogging site which is growing stronger and stronger for political to marketing to what nots. A very powerful platform. Not all come on board on twitter. Then came, Instagram for those who loved the photo sharing part of social media. Then what instagram and twitter did was a game changer – introducing celebrities and giving them a platform to communicate to their fans. Both celebrities and fans got onboard.

Meanwhile, Google decided to create it’s own social media which came to be called as Google Plus or G+. Hugely popular for it’s hangout feature and clean UI. G+ was for people who wanted to get away from the mess of fb and also who wanted to start a new life on social media and definitely if you are a google fan, you will have a g+ account on it. Sharing of photos on G+ is the best experience.

Then came Quora – for those who were curious and love to answer. Its growing stronger every day. Then came Pinterest for those who were creative and loved intelligent posters. It became a rage.

Youtube, LinkedIn, flipboard, TEd, Reddit, stackoverflow, Tinder, etc., are few top known brands where large number of people use it for KNOWLEDGE/INFORMATION/SHARING/Job Searching/Dating etc.,.

Now, there was a wide gap. A person was connected socially, professionally, information-wise! But, what about lost family bonds? Many families tried geni.com to build their family tree but what after that? This is where Whatsapp came in.

The group concept addressed the gap so well that – people got the best of all the worlds – separation of concern, calling ability, texting, sharing photos, videos, audio, greetings, free unlimited messages – with JUST a phone number, no need to have email ids! Just simple phone number! No password! Simplicity brought everybody on Whatsapp’s fold. Facebook bought it. That’s a different story.

Now, everybody who is using whatsapp will have a “HOME” group, “COUSINS” group, multiple “FRIENDS” groups, SURNAME groups! It’s like a new social order.That’s where people are connecting with 2nd/3rd circle family members and trying to recreate the good old times minus the HOSTING/ planning in physical world. Now, nobody is under pressure to talk sweetly to keep in touch.A good morning message – even though not personalized – even a forward goes a long way in creating good vibes and bringing good will! Am sure Whatsapp has resulted in more get togethers of family circles in physical world than without it. Families which wouldn’t look eye to eye before using whatsapp is now doing Potluck during festivals/new years and going to parks for picnics/BBQs!

A very interesting use case of whatsapp in Bangalore, India – as told by my friend – an internet service provider – has an SLA – send a whatsapp text and they will fix the problem in 2 hours! When people are trying to integrate twitter to do this – people are taking more practical route i.e. whatsapp. This is like the “MISSED CALL” concept in INDIA!

Easiest,laziest,simplest of the solutions attracts MOST number of users!

shallow perspectives

The movie “Ulidavaru Kandanthe” (2014 Kannada movie) spoke about perspectives. There are so many such movies. What is difficult is taking a total perspective of anything/ any situation! If I loosely take calculus analogy.. one ends up developing a perspective which is invariably a finite integral and it becomes impossible (improbable?) to take an infinite integral stock of the situation! Some worship/pray such entity as God who has got an Infinite perspective. It is possible such an entity exists as God(variable name for that entity – nature or whatever) – mathematically it is possible. Some people trivialise by saying its a fit of imagination. The power lies in imagination my dear friends – it boils down to interpretation, logical. If somebody gets motivation or feel secure to go on in day to day activities with this thought why should anybody have issues with it? This is my finitely shallow perspective again.

ರಾಜ್ಯೋತ್ಸವಕ್ಕೆ ಇನ್ನಾ ಆರೇ ದಿನಗಳು. ಭಾಷೆಯ ವಿಷಯ ಬಂದರೆ ಎಲ್ಲ ಭಾಷಣಕಾರರು “ಚಳುವಳಿ” ಮಾಡಿ , ಮಾಡದಿದ್ರೆ ಕನ್ನಡ ಉಳಿಯಲ್ಲ ಅಂತ. ಜನಕ್ಕೆ ಹೆದರಿಕೆಯ ಒಂದು ವಿಷಯ ಮಾಡಿಬಿಡ್ತಾರೆ. ಒಂದು ಹಬ್ಬ ಬಂದರೆ ನಾವು ಖುಷಿ ಖುಷಿ ಆಗಿ ಹೇಗೆ ಆಚರಿಸುತ್ತೀವೋ ಇದು ಅದೇ ತರನೇ ಅಲ್ವಾ?

ಕರುನಾಡು ಆದ ದಿನ. ಬರೆ ಕನ್ನಡ ಕನ್ನಡ ಅಂತ ಬೊಬ್ಬೆ ಹೊಡೆದರೆ ಏನಾದರೂ ಆಗತ್ತಾ? ಮತ್ತೆ ಏನು ಮಾಡ್ಬಹುದು?

1. ನಾವು ಕನ್ನಡ ಜನತೆ ಒಂದು ನಿಶ್ಚಯ ಮಾಡಬಹುದು ಈ ವರ್ಷ ನಾವು ಕನ್ನಡ ನಾಡಲ್ಲಿ ನೋಡದೆ ಇರುವ್ ಜಾಗಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಯಾಕೆ ಬರಬಾರದು?

2. ಈ ವರ್ಷ ಕನಿಷ್ಟ ಒಂದು ಕನ್ನಡ ಪುಸ್ತಕವನ್ನು ಪೂರ್ತಿ ಓದ ಬಹುದೆ?

3. ಕನ್ನಡ ಮಾತಾಡ್ತೀನಿ ಬರಿಯಕ್ಕೆ ಓದಕ್ಕೆ ಬರಲ್ಲ ಅಂತ ಇದ್ದರೆ ನಾವು ಕನ್ನಡವನ್ನು ಓದಲು ಬರೆಯಲು ಯಾಕೆ ಕಲಿಯಬಾರದು?

4. ಅದೇ ರೀತಿ ಕನ್ನಡ ಓದುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಬರೆಯುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಬರತ್ತೆ ಅಂದ್ರೆ ಯಾರಾದ್ರೂ ಆಸಕ್ತಿ ಇರೋವರಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿಕೊಡಬೋದಲ್ಲ?

5. ನಿಮಗೆ ಬರೆಯುವುದು ಇಷ್ಟ ಅಂದರೆ ಕನ್ನಡದ ಬ್ಲೋಗ್ಸ್ ಯಾಕೆ ಬರೆಯಬಾರದು? ನಿತ್ಯ ಒಂದು ಇಂಗ್ಲೀಶ್ ಆರ್ಟಿಕಲ್ ನಾ ಕನ್ನಡಕ್ಕೆ ಅನುವಾದ ಮಾಡಿದರೆ ಸಾಕು.

6. ಕನ್ನಡದ ನ್ಯೂಸ್‌ಪೇಪರ್ಸ್ ಆನ್‌ಲೈನ್ ಅಲ್ಲೇ ಪ್ರಕಟ ಮಾಡತ್ತೆ ದಿನ ಒಂದು ಹೆಡ್‌ಲೈನ್ಸ್ ಆದ್ರೂ ಓದಬಹುದಲ್ಲ್?

ರಂಗ ಭೂಮಿ ಅವರು.. ಫಿಲ್ಮ್ ಮೇಕರ್ಸ್. . ಸಾಹಿತಿಗಳು .. ಪೊಲಿಟಿಕನ್ಸ್ … ದೊಡ್ಡ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಪ್ರಮಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಕನ್ನಡ ವಿಚಾರಾದರೆಗಳನ್ನ ಪ್ರತಿನಿದಿಸುತ ಇದಾರೆ. ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ಜನಕ್ಕೆ ಅವೆಲ್ಲ ಅರಿವಿಗೂ ಬರೋದಿಲ್ಲ.ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಕನ್ನಡ ಕರುನಾಟಕ ಬೆಳೆಯ  ಬೇಕು ಅಂತ ಇದೆ.. ಆದರೆ ಯರ್ನೆ ನೋಡಲಿ ಒಂದು ಪೊಲಿಟಿಕಲ್ ಚಳುವಳಿ, ಇಲ್ಲ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ ಚಳುವಳಿ, ಇಲ್ಲ ರಂಗ ಭೂಮಿಯ ಚಳುವಳಿ, ಫಿಲ್ಮ್‌ಸ್ಟಾರ್ಸ್ ಚಳುವಳಿ, ಆರ್ಟಿಸ್ಟ್ಸ್ ಚಳುವಳಿ…. ಜಾತಿಯ ಚಳುವಳಿ, ಮತಗಳ ಚಳುವಳಿ.. ಯಾವ ಚಳುವಳಿ ಕೂಡ banner ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ಇಲ್ಲ.. ನಾವು ಏನೇ ಮಾಡಬೇಕಾದ್ರೂ ಯಾರೋ ಒಬ್ಬರ ಜೊತೆ ಜೋಡಿಸಿ ಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು.. This is the most uncomfortable part of this whole story..

ಒಂದು positive thinking ಇಂದ ನೋಡಿದರೆ ಏನು ಅನ್ಸತ್ತೆ ಅಂಧ್ರೆ .. feel, drink, eat, study ಕನ್ನಡ .. ಚಳುವಳಿ ಬೇಡ… ಇರುವೆಗಳು ಹೇಗೆ ಗೂಡು ಕಟ್ಟತೋ ಹಾಗೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಕನ್ನಡ ಕರುನಾಡ ಭಕ್ತಿ ನಾ content ನಾ ಜೆನರೇಟ್ ಮಾಡೋ ಕಡೆ ಗಮನ ಕೊಡಬೇಕು..  ಕನ್ನಡ ಜನತೆ ಹೊಸದಾಗಿ ಯೋಚನೆ ಮಾಡಿ result oriented ಆಗಬೇಕು .. ಗೋಖಾಕ್ ಚಳುವಳಿ ಆಗಿನ ಕಾಲಕ್ಕೆ .. ಕಾಲ ಸಮಯ ಬದಲಾಗಿದೆ.. ಎಲ್ಲರ್‌ನ್ನು ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಕರ್ಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಬೇಕೆ ವಿನಹ.. can’t be exclusive.. inclusive ಒಂದು ರೀತಿ ಜಾಸ್ತಿ ನೇ ಮಾಡ್ಬಿಟ್ಟಿದೀವಿ bengaluru ಜನತೆ .. inclusive but not reclusive.. ಈ ಚ್ಯಾಲೆಂಜ್ ಬಾರಿ ನಮ್ಮ ನಾಡಿಗೆ ಮಾತ್ರ ಅಲ್ಲ.. ಫ್ರ್ಯಾನ್ಸ್ .. ಇಟಲೀ.. ಸ್ಪೇನ್ ತೊಗೊಳಿ ೩ ೪ ಭಾಷೇ ಕಲಿತೆ  ಇರ್ತಾರೆ! ಕನ್ನಡ vector ಗಟ್ಟಿಯಾಗಿ ಇರ ಬೇಕು.. ಬೇರೆ ಎಲ್ಲ business ಗೆ ಆದರೆ ಕನ್ನಡ ನಡೆ ನುಡಿ ಮನಸ್ಸಿಗೆ..

ಕಾಲ ಕೆತ್ತಿ ಹೋಯಿತು ಕನ್ನಡ ಹಾಳಾಗಿ ಹೊಇತು ಅಂತ ತಲೆ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೂತ್ಕೊಂಡು ಬೇಜಾರು ಮಾಡಿಕೂಳ್ಲೋದು ಬಿಟ್ಟು.. ನಿಜ್ವಾಗ್ಲೂ ಕನ್ನಡದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಆಲೋಚನೆ ಮಾಡಿದರೆ ಸಾಕು ತುಂಬಾ ಮುಂದೆ ಹೋಗ್ತೀವಿ.. ಜನಗಳನ್ನು ಸೇರಿಸಿ ಉನ್ಮಾದ ಉದ್ವೇಗ ಬರಿಸಿ ರೋಷ ಬರಿಸಿ whole plot ನಾ ಕಳೆದು ಕೊಲ್ತಾ ಇದೀವಿ..

ಒಂದು ಒಳ್ಳೆ ಉದಾಹರಣೆ ಅಂದರೆ.. ನನ್ನ ಒಬ್ಬ ಗೆಳೆಯ ಅಂದ್ರ ಪ್ರದೇಶದಿಂದ ಇಂಜಿನಿಯರಿಂಗ್ ಓದುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದ ಸಮಯ.. ಕೇವಲ ೨ ೩ ತಿಂಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನು ಕನ್ನಡ ಕಲಿತು ಮಾತು ಆಡಲು ಶುರು ಮಾಡೆಬಿಟ್ತ್ .. ಅವನುಮಾಡಿದ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನ ಎಷ್ಟು ಪ್ರಶಂಸನೀಯ! ಅವನ ಫ್ರೆಂಡ್ಸ್ ಅವನ ಮನೆ ಹತ್ರ ಇದ್ದ ಕನ್ನಡ ಜನ ತೋರಿಸಿದಿ ಪ್ರ್ರೇತಿ ಇಂದನೆ ತಾನೇ? ಅವನ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನ ೯೦% ಮಿಕ್ಕೀಡು ಇವರೆಲ್ಲ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದು? ಅಲ್ವಾ? cultural exchange ಒಂಥರಾ ಸೂಕ್ಷ್ಮ .. ಬಲ ಪ್ರಯೋಗ ಮಾಡಬಾರದು .. ಕನ್ನಡ ನಾ sell ಮಾಡ್ಬೇಕು.. ಹೇರಬಾರದು!

ನಮಸ್ತೆ ಕನ್ನಡ ವಿಶ್ವ ಬಳಗ!

ನಾನು ಅನೇಕ ಬಾರಿ ಟ್ರೈನ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಓಡಾಡುವಾಗ ನೋಡಿದೀನಿ ಚೀನಾ ದೇಶದವರು ಅವರ ಭಾಷೆಯ ಲಿಪಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇರುವ ಪುಸ್ತಕವನ್ನು ಕಿಂಡಲ್  ನಾ ಹಿಡಿದು ಓದುತ್ತಾ ಇರುತರೆ. ತಪ್ಪು ಸರಿ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆ ಅಲ್ಲ. ನನಗೆ ಬೇಜಾರು ತರುವ ಹಾಗೂ ಖುಷಿ ಕೊಡುವ ಸಂಗತಿ ಏನಂದರೆ “ಅರೇ ನಾವು ಯಾಕೆ ಕನ್ನಡದ್ದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆದಿರುವ ಪುಸ್ತಕಗಳನ್ನ ಓದಬಾರದು?

ಒಬ್ಬ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗೆ ಕನಿಷ್ಟ ೨ ಅಥವಾ ೩ ಭಾಷೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತಾಡುವ ಶಕ್ತಿ ಇದ್ದೇ ಇರುತ್ತೆ. ನಾವು ಅದನ್ನ ಯಾಕೆ ಉಪಯೋಗಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬಾರದು? ಒಬ್ಬ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿ ಏನು ಹೇಳಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನ ಮಾಡುತಿದ್ದಾನೆ ಅಂದರೆ – ಆ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯ ಭಾಷೆಯಲ್ಲೇ ಅರ್ಥ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳ ಬೇಕು. ಹೀಗೆ ಇರುವಾಗ ನಾವು ಒಂದೇ ಭಾಷೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಇಡೀ ಜೀವನ ಸಾಗಿಸುತೀವಿ ಅಂದರೆ ಜೀವನದ / ಪ್ರಕೃತಿಯ ಸೊಭಗನ್ನು ಅರಿಯುವಾದಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರಾಯಶಃ ಆಗುವುದೋ ಇಲ್ಲವೋ !  ಇದು ತುಂಬಾ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಒಗಟಲ್ಲ. ನಾವು ಇಂಗ್ಲೀಶ್ ಒಂದೇ ಸಾಕು ಇನ್ನ ಯಾವುದೇ ಭಾಷೆ ಬೇಡ ಅನ್ನುವುದ ಒಂದು ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಳ್ಳೇ ನಿರ್ಧಾರ ಅಲ್ಲ ಅಂತ ಅನ್ಸತ್ತೆ.

ಕನ್ನಡ ಕಲೆಯುವುದು ಓದುವುದು ಬರೆಯುವುದು ಮತ್ತೆ ಖುಷಿ ಕೊಡುವ ಒಂದು ವಾತಾವರಣ ಉಂಟಾದಾಗ ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಕನ್ನಡ ಹತ್ತಿರ ಬರುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಕನ್ನಡದ ಜನತೆ ಪ್ರೀತಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಹಿಷ್ಣತೆ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಸರುವಾಸಿ. ಎಂದಿಗೂ ನಾವು ಕನ್ನಡ ಬರುವರು ಸಹಿಷ್ಣತೆಯನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡಾಡಬೇಕು. ದುಡುಕುವಾದರಿಂದ ಫಲಿತಾಂಶ ಹದಗೆಡುವುದೇ ವಿನಃ ಏನು ಪ್ರಯೋಜನ ಆಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.

ತಮಾಷೆ ಏನಂದರೆ ಕನ್ನಡದ ಗಣಿತ – ವ್ಯಾಕರಣ, ಒತ್ತು ಅಕ್ಷರ, ಕಾಗುಣಿತ್ ನಿಜವಾಗ್ಲೂ ಕಷ್ಟ. ಒಪ್ಪಲೆ ಬೇಕಾದ ವಿಷಯ. ಕನ್ನಡ ಒಂದೇ ಅಲ್ಲ ಹಿಂದಿ, ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತ, ತೆಲುಗು, ತಮಿಳು, ಮ್ಯಾಂಡರಿನ್, ಫ್ರೆಂಚ್, ಸ್ಪ್ಯಾನಿಶ್, ಜರ್ಮನ್, ಜಪಾನೀಸ್, ಯಾವುದೇ ಭಾಷೆಯ ವ್ಯಾಕರಣ ಕಷ್ಟಕರವಾದದ್ದೆ. ಹಾಗಂತ ನಾವು ಇಂಗ್ಲೀಶ್ ಭಾಷೆಯ ವ್ಯಾಕರಣ ಸರಿಯಾಗಿ ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಂಡು ಇದ್ದೀವಿ ಅಂತ ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ಮಾಡಿ ಹೇಳುವ ಜನ ಬಹು ವಿರಳ.

ನನಗೆ ಬೇರೆ ಭಾಷೆಯವರು ನಿಂದನೆ ಮಾಡಲು ಇಷ್ಟವಿಲ್ಲ. ಒಂದು ಎತ್ತರದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತು ನೋಡಿದರೆ ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಮನುಷ್ಯರೇ! ನಮ್ಮ ವಿಧಾನ ಹೇಗೆ ಇರಬೇಕು ಅಂದರೆ ಹುಲಿಯ ಸಂತಾನ ಉಳಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನ ಮಾಡುತಾ ಇರುವ ತಾಳ್ಮೆ ನಮಗೆ ಇರ ಬೇಕು. ನನಗೆ ನಂಬಿಕೆ ಇದೆ ಕನ್ನಡ ಮತ್ತೆ ಮೇಲೆ ಏಳುವುದು ಪರ ಭಾಷೆ ಆಮಿಷದ ಮಧ್ಯೆ.
